Since 1907, Fred Leupold and his family forged what is now known as one of the best rifle scope companies today. Founded in Portland, Oregon with corporate offices now in Beaverton, Oregon, the Leupold Company promised from day one that, “the customer is entitled to a square deal.” That’s what you get with their rifle scopes and this fifth generation company more popularly known as Leupold & Stevens. Fred Leupold saw promise in Cyprian Stevens, a true inventor of the time helped the company with must-have elements of rifle scopes like waterproofing and durable construction—two rifle scopes standards that are mint with Leupold models.

Perhaps the best feature of the Leupold Rifle Scopes are how their adjustment options work on each model. They’ve done away with tools for adjustments—you can simply use your fingers for the accurate shoot you’re looking for. Their scopes, depending on model, have actual magnifications ranging from 1.0 all the way to 6.0 and scope weights are light at 17.5 ounces to 22 ounces.

One of the best lines Leupold has produced is the Golden Ring series. These rifle scopes, built for long range shooting, have an Xtended Twilight lens system, diamond coat 2 external lens system, adjustment markings, twin erector springs, and a maintube with a 34mm diameter. Long known for the Leupold Light Optimization Profile, most models of their scopes include these as standard for optimal comfort while shooting.
